UPSC Exam Notification 2023
On February 1st, 2023, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) made the UPSC Notification 2023 for the Civil Services Examination available online. On February 1 to February 21, 2023, applicants may submit an application for the UPSC 2023 Exam.
A total of 1105 positions will need to be filled by the commission in 2023, including 37 for people who fall into the benchmark disability category, 15 for people who have locomotor disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, victims of acid attacks, and muscular dystrophy, and 10 for people who have multiple disabilities. UPSC Nationality Conditions 2023
For the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and the Indian Police Service (IPS), a candidate must be a citizen of India.
For other services, a candidate must be either:
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a Tibetan refugee who entered India prior to January 1, 1962, with the purpose to settle there permanently, or
a person of Indian origin who moved to India with the purpose of residing there permanently, primarily from Vietnam, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia.
UPSC Age Limit 2023
A candidate must have a minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years.

Candidates must confirm that they meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Rules/Notice before requesting benefits for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen.
UPSC Educational Qualification
A candidate must hold a graduate degree from one of the Indian universities established by an act of the national or state legislature, or from one of the other educational institutions recognized as universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent degree from one of those institutions.
UPSC Exam Fees 2023
Candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) either by remitting the money to any State Bank of India (SBI) branch, by using a Visa, Mastercard, or RuPay credit or debit card, or by using SBI’s Internet Banking. All Female/SC/ST/Persons with benchmark disabilities candidates are exempted from paying a fee. However, OBC/EWS candidates are not eligible for any fee exemptions and must pay the entire amount of the specified fee.
UPSC 2023 Vacancies
It is anticipated that roughly 1105 positions will be filled through the UPSC examination in 2023. The categorization of vacancies is as follows:
Persons with Benchmark Disability: Total 37 Vacancies.
(a) blindness and low vision: 7 Vacancies.
(b) deaf and hard of hearing: 5 Vacancies.
(c) locomotor disability including cerebral palsy,
leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and
muscular dystrophy:15 Vacancies.
Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses
(a) to (c) including deaf blindness: 10 Vacancies.
After receiving a solid number of vacancies from the Cadre Controlling Authorities, the final number of openings may fluctuate. Candidates from Scheduled Castes would be given preference. the Economically Weaker Sections, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Benchmark Disability in relation to vacancies as may be determined by the Government.
UPSC 2023 Selection Process
One such test is the civil service exam, which is held annually by the UPSC. It is a three-stage test, consisting of

Preliminary exams consist of objective type (multiple choice questions) questions; however, the results are not used to determine final merit. Two General Studies papers are part of this stage: GS Paper 1 (Subject specific) and GS Paper 2. (CSAT). The CSAT is merely a prerequisite exam (a score of at least 33% is needed). For both Paper 1 and Paper 2, there is negative marking, where each incorrect response results in the deduction of one-third (0.33) of the marks allotted to the question.

Any candidate's papers will not be reviewed, and their candidature may be revoked if they arrive at a place different than the one specified by the Commission in their admission certificate.

UPSC Online Exam Last Date
The UPSC CSE 2023 prelims online application is open until 6:00 PM on February 21, 2023, after which the link will be deactivated. It is strongly advised that candidates submit their online applications ahead of time, rather than waiting until the deadline.
UPSC 2023 Results
The results of the UPSC CSE 2023 preliminary stage will likely be made public in June or July 2023, and a PDF list of the qualified applicants for stage II (the main examination) will also be made available on the UPSC website.
UPSC 2023 Cut Off
